Welcome to The Reading Doctor Gloucester.  I am thrilled to bring this outstanding service to Gloucestershire.

I have been a teacher for over 20 years working in primary schools.  I have taught in all the age groups in the primary years, however predominantly in Key Stage 1 and Early Years.

Through my training and teaching over the years I have successfully taught children to read.  The skill of reading is so important because it opens the world to every child.

In my teaching career I have been a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator, English lead and a senior teacher, teaching children with dyslexia, autism, global delay, emotional and social needs within mainstream classes.

Throughout my teaching career, I have always tailored my teaching to meet the needs of the child ensuring they progress and achieve, especially in reading as I believe the skill of reading is essential to all learning.

Working as a reading doctor enables me to teach children to become confident, skilled readers on an individual basis, in a friendly and supportive environment.
