Hello and Welcome to the Reading Doctor Leamington Spa.
I feel delighted to have the opportunity to bring this bespoke, 1 to 1 reading tutoring service to Leamington Spa. Having seen the support one of the Reading Doctors provided to my own child, developing his reading confidence and self-esteem, I was keen to become part of this amazing team of professionals. 

I have been teaching for 19 years in the Warwickshire and Solihull areas, working in all primary stages from Reception to year 6. My roles have included English lead at two of the settings I worked at.
Reading has always been a passion of mine. From my degree in Educational Studies, which was heavily focussed on children’s literature, the choices of books I have used to engage the different interests of the children in my class, to reading to my own children each evening. The positive values of the Reading Doctor approach are very much in line with the ways in which I teach and so when the opportunity came to take on this role, I was very keen to get involved.

Many children find reading tricky and need a different approach, with more personalised support than a busy classroom can offer. I feel excited that I can provide this, supporting each individual to develop an essential life-skill.
