Welcome to The Reading Doctor Maulden.

The Reading Doctor ethos is to make learning fun and teach a child in the way that particular child learns. I am excited to be the Reading Doctor Maulden and serve Bedfordshire and the surrounding area. What a privilege to be able to provide a service for my community to help children gain the essential skill of reading. 

After raising three children I retrained as a teacher and have taught across all of the primary stages - reception, KS1 and KS2. Seeing children understand a concept for the first time and becoming confident in a skill is one of the best parts of being a teacher. 

My goal as a teacher is to make learning desirable and enjoyable and I believe that children learn best in a happy environment. Reading is important. We discover amazing facts, learn important information and go on incredible adventures all through printed text. I would love to help you become a more confident reader, and who knows? you may learn to love reading!
