I’m delighted to become the Reading Doctor for Wilmslow and Alderley Edge. The moment I first saw the Reading Doctor, I just knew I had to be a part of it and I’m excited to be offering this bespoke reading intervention to unlock your child’s reading potential.

I’ve been teaching across Key Stages 1 and 2 for the past 15 years, both in the UK and in British Curriculum schools around the world. Alongside being a class teacher, I have also been Assistant Head Teacher in both Key stages 1 and 2, as well as maths lead for most of my teaching career. I have a wealth of experience teaching children with a range of special needs and with English as an additional language and have found many ways to break down barriers to support these children with the busy demands of the classroom and curriculum.

I believe in getting to know my students and building an individual relationship with each and every one is very important to me. I’m passionate about supporting children with their emotional as well as academic development, helping them to develop their resilience and coping strategies. I’m delighted to be able to step away from the formal classroom environment to give each pupil exactly what they need, in a quiet, calm and nurturing environment.

As a Reading Doctor, I use a bespoke, multisensory learning program to uniquely support your child, building their confidence and independence every step of the way.  If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s reading, get in touch and we can discuss how I can help.
