Hello, I'm Savannah!

I'm proud to lead The Reading Doctor Moira, where I support children to become confident, happy readers through personalised, 1:1 intervention.

With over 15 years’ experience teaching Years 1 to 7, I’ve had the joy of guiding children through every stage of their primary education. My passion for teaching began during a year in Japan, where I taught English to young learners and learned how engaging, creative teaching can unlock confidence and joy in children – especially when it comes to reading.

Why I Became a Reading Doctor

Reading has always been my passion – I was the child who stayed up reading under the covers with a torch. While reading came easily to me, I know that’s not the case for every child. As Key Stage 1 Lead, I introduced targeted interventions to support children struggling with phonics and literacy, and I saw first-hand how the right support can transform confidence and ability.

When I discovered The Reading Doctor and spoke to Deborah, I was instantly inspired. I knew this was the perfect way to continue making a real difference – bringing structured, compassionate support to children who need it most.

How I work

✅ Personalised, 1:1 literacy sessions designed for your child
✅ Based in Moira with support available across the surrounding areas
✅ Ideal for children with learning difficulties, low confidence or reading delays
✅ Warm, encouraging sessions using proven Reading Doctor strategies

My goal is to help your child build the skills and confidence they need – and to discover the magic and joy of reading for themselves.
