Hello, I'm Chloe!

I'm proud to be a Reading Doctor, helping children unlock their potential and build a lifelong love of reading through personalised 1:1 support.

With over 21 years of teaching experience across the UK and international schools, I’ve worked with children from birth to age 12 in a wide range of settings. From running Early Years departments to leading baby groups and training adults in child development, I bring a deep understanding of how children learn – and a passion for making reading joyful, achievable and empowering.

Why I Became a Reading Doctor

As someone who once sat in the bottom set at school but went on to become a successful corporate solicitor, I know how life-changing it can be to overcome barriers to learning. That’s why I’ve always been drawn to supporting children who find learning difficult.

I’ve held roles including SENCO, Head of Early Years at a school for children with cognitive developmental needs, Centre Manager for young people with autism and Deputy Headteacher for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. In every setting, my mission has been the same: to raise self-esteem, build independence and help each child discover the joy of learning.

How I work

✅ Tailored, 1:1 reading sessions focused entirely on your child’s needs
✅ Calm, nurturing environment that builds confidence and trust
✅ Ideal for children with SEND, anxiety, or those needing a new approach
✅ Strategies personalised to your child’s learning style and development

I’d love to help your child discover not just how to read, but how reading can open up a world of imagination and opportunity.
