Hello, I'm Katherine!
I'm proud to lead The Reading Doctor Leamington Spa, offering personalised 1:1 reading support to help children build confidence, independence and a lifelong love of books.
With 19 years of teaching experience across Reception to Year 6 in Warwickshire and Solihull, I’ve always had a deep passion for reading – both as a teacher and a parent. After seeing the remarkable impact The Reading Doctor had on my own child’s confidence and self-esteem, I knew I wanted to be part of this outstanding team.

Why I Became a Reading Doctor
As a former English Lead and a graduate in Educational Studies with a focus on children’s literature, I’ve always been committed to helping children connect with books in meaningful ways. Whether through reading to my own children or choosing stories to engage the learners in my class, I know just how powerful reading can be.
But I also know that some children find reading difficult – and need more time, patience and tailored support than a busy classroom can provide. When I discovered The Reading Doctor approach, I immediately saw how well it aligned with my values and teaching style. I’m now thrilled to offer that same one-to-one support to families in Leamington Spa.
