I’m delighted to support children across Wilmslow and Alderley Edge as a Reading Doctor, using bespoke one-to-one lessons to unlock reading potential and rebuild confidence. The moment I discovered The Reading Doctor, I knew it was something I had to be part of and I feel incredibly proud to now offer this specialist support in my community.

Why I Became a Reading Doctor
With 15 years of experience teaching across Key Stages 1 and 2 — both in the UK and internationally — I’ve always been passionate about helping children thrive, not just academically, but emotionally too. My roles as Assistant Head Teacher and maths lead gave me a deep understanding of how to break down barriers to learning, particularly for children with SEND or English as an additional language.
Over time, I found myself wanting to give children more of what they really need: time, space and a calm environment where they could build skills at their own pace. The Reading Doctor approach provides just that — a nurturing, multisensory way to help children reconnect with reading and feel proud of their progress.
