I’m proud to run The Reading Doctor Worthing, where I support children across Worthing and the surrounding areas to become confident, capable readers through bespoke one-to-one intervention. Whether working from my dedicated reading room or within local schools, I love seeing the joy that reading can bring when children are supported in the right way.

Why I Became a Reading Doctor
I began teaching in Sussex in 1992 after gaining a Bachelor of Education Honours Degree. Over three decades, I worked across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, always with a passion for reading and writing at the heart of my teaching. In 2023, I stepped away from classroom teaching to become a full-time Reading Doctor — a move inspired by a chance encounter with the programme on Location, Location, Location, and a powerful conversation with founder Deborah Salsbury.
Every child learns differently. The Reading Doctor philosophy gives me the tools to deliver truly tailored intervention, building children’s confidence, unlocking their reading potential and nurturing a lifelong love of books.
